Saturday, riders start at 10:00 a.m. from downtown Walburg, Tx. The peak time at the day 1 finish area in Waco is 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Day 2, riders will start in downtown Waco from Indian Springs Park and depart at 8:30 a.m. Peak time at the Cedar Hill State Park on Sunday will be between 1:30 and 3:30 p.m.
Register online on the Ride Info page. Select the ride you wish to participate in and click the Register Now button. You will register thru our site on active.com. If you have an Active.com online account, you can use this for registration. If not, you can create a new account during the process.
Registration for the 2011 TX Tough 250 is by invitation only, and is currently full. These individuals will be contacted personally by our staff to oversee their registration and fundraising pages.
Depending on the ride you selected, there are different benefits:
For the Peloton Package: a TX Tough 250 Jersey, helmet, wrist band / bib, energy products, drinks, food and water throughout the ride, private transport to Austin, TX, overnight accommodations in Waco, TX, SAG support and road closures for safety of the riders. Medical and mechanical support as well as local jurisdiction permits and law enforcement support are also included.
For the 2-day Ride Package: a 2012 Official TX Tough 250 Jersey, Rest Stops provided along the route, VIP pass to the fundraiser hospitality area at the Tx Tough Grand Prix IV. Road closures for safety of the riders, medical and mechanical support as well as local jurisdiction permits and law enforcement support are also included.
For the 1-day Ride Package: 25% off a 2012 Official TX Tough 250 Jersey, Rest Stops provided along the route; Road closures for safety of the riders, medical and mechanical support as well as local jurisdiction permits and law enforcement support are also included.
Yes. The Peloton Club 250 riders are fully supported. There are an additional two SAG Support vans roving the entire route to move you and your bike forward should you need help. Mechanical and medical support is also located with the SAG vehicles.

No. Passion for Children’s is a 501c3 and a charitable organization. However, this is an entry fee to a ride and therefore not tax deductible.
Yes, you can! It is a great way to kick off your fundraising campaign. There will be an opportunity when you register for the ride to add your additional donation.
Children under 18 must have their legal guardian approve the ride waiver.
Yes. Both of you need to speak with a staff member to set up your registration & fundraising pages.

Since registration is by invitation only please contact our staff immediately for assistance. Registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable.
There are no refunds or transfers allowed.
When you go to Active.com to register, additional merchandise is available. In January, there will be a link to the TX Tough 250, 2011 merchandise provider and additional merchandise can be ordered until mid-February.
No. Registered riders will have a helmet number along with a wristband/bib number. Numbers must be visible at all times. Checkpoints will be located along the route for safety purposes. Only official riders will be allowed on the course.
Head sets are not allowed. Burleys or any bike trailers are not allowed.

Your kit and number packets will be available for pick up on April 28 & 29 at 4809 Cole Ave, Ste 345, Dallas, TX. If you would like your bag mailed to you, that can be arranged at an additional cost.
Feedback is always welcome! Additionally, there will be a Rider Survey sent out after the ride. We look forward to feedback about the ride and how we can make it an even better experience for the next year. We stared the TX Tough 250 as a result of the feedback from our fundraisers and volunteers.
The TX Tough 250 is a RIDE and not a race. There are no awards for the top finishers. Times will not be published

No. It is not safe to mail in cash. If you want to turn in cash donations, please personally bring it to our offices located at:

Yes. Passion for Children’s, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization created exclusively to raise money for Children’s Medical Center, and all donations to PFC are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by the law.
100% of the money raised goes exclusively Children’s Medical Center of Dallas. The TX Tough 250 is paid fully by registration fees, corporate and private sponsorship.
At the end of each calendar year, tax receipts are sent to every individual whose donation exceeds $250. For any donation of $250 or less the canceled check or credit card statement are sufficient for the IRS, however, PFC will provide a tax receipt to any donor upon request. info@txtough.org

Passion for Children's, a 501c(3) non-profit organization, was started in 2007 with the sole purpose of creating, implementing, and supporting grassroots fundraising programs to exclusively benefit Children's Medical Center, Dallas & Legacy campuses.
Passion for Children's campaign is fully underwritten by event registration fees, corporate and private sponsorship. 100% of money raised by campaign fundraisers, and received by PFC, is given directly to Children's Medical Center.
Children's Medical Center is a private, not-for-profit, and one of the largest pediatric healthcare providers in the nation. Children's is the only academic heathcare facility in North Texas and is the only pediatric level one trauma center in the Southwest. Children's serves over 400,000 children each year, with more than 50 specialty programs. Children’s has never turned away a patient for their inability to pay, and will provide more than $60 million in compensated care this year.
